What is Iridology?
Iridiology is the study of the iris and the eye in order to ascertain the state of our health. The entire body is represented reflexologically on the iris. To the trained iridologist, the colour, texture and the various markings suggest areas of underactivity, overactivity, toxicity, etc. which have been inherited or have been brought on by diet, lifestyle, stress, etc.
Today due to improvements in microscopes and digital photography linked to computer technology, detalied research and development is being carried out by iridologists working in both alternative and conventional medical fields.
The iris is partly composed of nerve tissue from the Autonomic and central Nervous System’s reflexes.
When light enters the eye it travels through the neural pathways connection to the lateral geniculate bodies and is absorbed into the system and circulated to the organs, glands and mesenchyma.
Furthermore, studies from Russia have shown that the iris emits its own scientifically measurable individual energy field.
The iris is both a receptor and a comunicator revealing the link between the physical, mental, emotional and possibly spritual aspects of the individual.
